A marvellously textured album, rich in contrast, filled with fluttering ideas, gently turning ostinati, warm colours and a richly varied tapestry of electronic sounds. Hard to choose a favourite track, but '1AD' just pips the opening by an electro-whisper.

Although not a Boards Of Canada copyist, Survey Channel is the kind of artist you want to seek out while BoC takes another ten years to come up with a follow up album.
